Andrew Kelly originally hails from Hendersonville, NC. In 2016, Kelly moved to Winchester, VA so that he may gain the education necessary to further his career. He has spent his time studying Sanford Meisner and a variety of other theatrical skills including but not limited to improvisation and script analysis.
In 2017, Kelly assisted the Your ACT team as the rehearsal pianist for Godspell. He was then asked back as the music director for Murder Ballad. Kelly’s first show as an employee for Your ACT Theatrical Co. was their production of Aladdin, Jr. as the Front of House Manager. Since then, Kelly has been promoted to his current position as Managing Director for Your ACT Theatrical Co.
In the Winter of 2017, Kelly began to study the business of arts management. He enrolled in the Harry F. Byrd School of Business at Shenandoah University so that he may further his education in his career. Since attending, he has found himself managing many individual artists in their career with financial information and business tactics.
Before joining the Your ACT team, Kelly worked extensively with the Shut Up! It’s Shakespeare troupe in Winchester, VA as a production assistant. The first show that he worked on with SUIS was William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. Kelly also had offered plentiful technical work for Shenandoah Conservatory. The shows that he worked on includes but is not limited to Spring Awakening, Guys & Dolls, and Once Upon This Island. Kelly also was casted in the Conservatory’s production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot as Uncle Piño.
Kelly will be finishing his undergraduate degree at Shenandoah University for Bachelors of Business Administration and a Minor in Theatre in the Spring of 2020. He plans on returning the following Fall to pursue his Masters of Business Administration with an Arts Management emphasis at Shenandoah University.
